Care Assistant

Job Summary
This role is about providing care and support to vulnerable individuals in our community, ensuring they reach their destinations safely and with dignity. As a Care Assistant with Lancashire County Council, you will be part of a team that makes a real difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel in a private hire vehicle or taxi to assist passengers in a safe and caring manner
- Provide care duties associated with transport services, including support with daily activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
- Adhere to all communication protocols and complete required records
Working Hours and Location
The working hours are typically 15 hours per week, split across morning and afternoon shifts. Successful candidates will be picked up and dropped off at their home address for each shift, if they live in the West Lancs area. Candidates from outside this area will need to travel to one of our centres in West Lancs for collection.
