Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant - Long Term Engagement

Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote

Due to ongoing expansion, a remarkable opportunity has emerged for a Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant to join one of the UK's premier construction and engineering firms on a long-term engagement.

As a Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant, you will be instrumental in delivering technical guidance and leadership within the electrical domain for a variety of projects and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the electrical engineering components of projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Deliver high-caliber solutions that align with client specifications.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for the electrical discipline in projects and proposals, which includes the preparation, review, and endorsement of engineering documentation.
  • Efficiently allocate tasks and ensure timely completion in accordance with project timelines.
  • Execute electrical engineering assignments to a superior standard, adhering to project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Prepare requisitions for electrical equipment and materials, encompassing HV and LV switchboards, transformers, UPS systems, power factor correction, and lighting.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electronic, Electrical, Control Engineering).
  • Extensive experience in the detailed design of facilities with substantial electrical networks.
  • Strong understanding of design practices and installation requirements within the oil and gas/energy sectors.
  • Familiarity with the installation requirements for equipment in process plants, particularly in potentially hazardous areas.
  • Awareness of risk identification, assessment, management, and HSE regulations.
