About the Role:

As a Senior Financial Services Lawyer, you will play a key role in delivering advice and expanding our client base. You will act for a broad spectrum of clients, including banks, payment service providers, e-money institutions, mortgage providers, insurers, brokers, MGAs, credit institutions, and pension providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical advice to clients regarding a variety of UK regulations, including but not limited to the Financial Services and Markets Acts, consumer credit legislation, FCA Handbook and PRA Rulebook, Payment Services Regulations, and financial promotions legislation.
  • Provide technical legal advice with commercial application, that is user-friendly and practical.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Work effectively under pressure to tackle tough decisions and present innovative ways to help clients.
  • Keep up to date with law and practice as part of continuing professional development (CPD).

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience as a Financial Services Lawyer.
  • Extensive experience of working within the financial services market.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering technical advice to clients regarding UK regulations.
  • Ability to deliver technical legal advice with commercial application.
  • Contacts within the industry to help grow the team.
  • Contract drafting skills relating to the commercial arrangements of financial services regulated businesses.
  • Team-focused with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with others.
  • A strong client-focused approach with plenty of drive and enthusiasm to help us provide an excellent client service.
