Job Title: Science Team Lead, Collaborative

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Science Team Lead to join our collaborative team at IQVIA. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of medical writers and editors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content that meets the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of medical writers and editors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement content strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings to discuss content needs and develop solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.

Requirements:

  • UK citizen or resident with the right to work in the UK.
  • BSc or higher in biomedical science or a related field.
  • Substantial experience in medical communications, journalism, strategy, consulting, or related work in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Line manager experience overseeing medical writers and editors.
  • Client-facing experience with demonstrated ability to navigate challenging relationships.
  • Excellent scientific communications skills, with the ability to edit and adapt content using various styles and outputs.
  • Ability to pick up on new therapy areas quickly and work across multiple projects.
  • Solid understanding of the drug development process and relevant regulations.
  • Ability to action received feedback and ensure high standards are consistently maintained.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to change, and work under pressure.
