OBM People is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for a reputable service provider in the oil and gas sector. This is a permanent position aimed at enhancing inventory management and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Client's inventory and support the Warehouse & Receipts operations.
  • Creation and approval of Item Master records.
  • Manage re-orders for warehouse stock and work order necessities.
  • Facilitate training, coaching, and development for warehouse personnel.
  • Conduct regular stock counts within the warehouse and with vendors.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with client representatives to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support daily warehouse activities while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, legal standards, and industry regulations, particularly the UK Oil and Gas Guidelines.
  • Assist the warehouse team in meeting established goals and contractual commitments.
  • Investigate service failures, incidents, and accidents to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Generate periodic reports as directed by management or clients.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings to advocate for team and client needs.
  • Ensure the team operates efficiently, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Meet customer expectations in alignment with Service Level Agreements and KPIs.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to service delivery processes in line with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Manage inventory processes, including work orders, stock movements, returns, repairs, and disposals.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Track client materials using the MAXIMO system, analyzing movements and historical data.
  • Be knowledgeable about various inventory reports and produce them as needed, such as storage reports and pick lists.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through effective use of the MAXIMO system.
  • Conduct stock counts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper receipting and packing of goods according to offshore standards.
  • Maintain stock organization and cleanliness.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Participate in an on-call duty rotation.
  • Provide holiday cover for the Logistics Coordinator role and Offshore PMC, with training provided.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5T Counterbalance Forklift Certification.
  • Certification in Dangerous Goods by Sea (IMDG).
