About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the Hinkley Point C project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tunnelling and SCL techniques, as well as API qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Construction Director to ensure the seamless integration of the shaft liner secondary lining into the fabrication process.
  • API Qualification: Oversee the API qualification process, ensuring that all aspects of the project meet stringent quality and safety standards.
  • Engineering Control and Defect Management: Maintain high engineering standards, with a focus on defect avoidance and zero defects at project completion.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly report on the progress and performance of integration activities to the management team.
  • Contractual and Technical Review: Identify and resolve ambiguities or shortcomings in contractual and technical documentation.
  • Resource Management: Ensure that the necessary resources are available and used cost-effectively, adhering to safety, health, environment, and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (ONC/HNC/Degree) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • API Qualification Experience: Demonstrated experience with API qualification processes is essential.
  • Managerial and Technical Proficiency: Should be adept in managing complex projects with a focus on tunnelling and SCL techniques.

  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Actively support the Senior Management team and the tunnelling and SCL teams.
  • Focus on Excellence: Continually search for ways to exceed expectations, particularly in the areas of tunnelling, SCL, and API qualification.
