Job Overview

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Somerset, working on Civils Projects across the South West. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to the project team, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare and manage tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering sector, with a strong understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
