Job Title: Clinical Endoscopist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Endoscopist to join our team at Hull and East Yorkshire Women and Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Endoscopist, you will be responsible for providing expert specialist nursing services for patients who require upper and lower endoscopy procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as a specialist resource in developing practice on the endoscopy unit to maintain appropriate clinical standards and accreditation.
  • Work with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to develop and review Endoscopy policies and guidelines.
  • Audit the delivery of Endoscopy procedures and outcomes, and mortality.
  • Deliver expert care across all Trust sites, including carrying out independent clinics in general gastroenterology.
  • Have the opportunity to become part of the teaching faculty for Yorkshire School of Endoscopy.

Requirements:
  • NMC professional registration.
  • Evidence of a degree in Gastroenterology or experience in gastroenterology/endoscopy.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Possession of 1st degree or equivalent level of study/experience.
  • Evidence of iv cannulation and phlebotomy.
  • Evidence of recent teaching, mentorship, and supervision of staff.
  • Gastroenterology experience.
  • Evidence of theoretical and practical skills in iv care and management.
  • Evidence of change management.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
