Key Responsibilities- Support inpatient and outpatient cranial and spinal services at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
- Play a critical role in delivering the on-call regional service for Hull and the Yorkshire & Humber region.
- Contribute to the established multidisciplinary team (MDT) services provided as part of quality clinical indicators.
- Work on a 1:12 rota schedule, including allocation of theatres, clinics, MDT attendance, and ward clinical duties.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the unit, managing and leading medical/surgical teams.
- Full registration with the relevant professional body.
- Part 1 or complete postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery.
- Ability to offer sound clinical opinion on a range of acute medical conditions.
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
- Experience of supervising junior medical staff and commitment to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs, and medical students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and other health professionals.
