The Resuscitation Services team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Emergency Care Training Specialist. This dynamic department is committed to empowering and nurturing our clinical personnel to provide the highest standard of care during emergencies and in preventative measures. A proactive attitude, strong commitment, and a willingness to learn are vital attributes for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
This role places a significant focus on the delivery of training programs. Key objectives include offering a comprehensive range of Resuscitation Council (UK) courses to our extensive clinical workforce, which includes a specialized cardiac center. Training sessions encompass competencies for adults, children, and neonates, and we also facilitate the Generic Instructor Course. The ideal candidate will actively participate in various training sessions and contribute innovative ideas to tackle challenges effectively.
The team also provides support for urgent situations, including medical emergencies, cardiac arrests, and severe hemorrhages. We offer guidance and conduct audits to establish standards for safe resuscitation practices throughout the organization, collaborating with partner teams to enhance initiatives aimed at identifying and addressing acute health deteriorations. This work is instrumental in minimizing cardiac arrest incidents and aligns with the Trust's clinical strategy.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is located on the picturesque west coast of Lancashire, serving the local populations of Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre. As part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS), we support a diverse community of approximately one million residents.
Our three primary hospitals deliver acute services to around 330,000 local inhabitants.
