About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Security Specialist to join our specialist security team at BT Security. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical direction for the build, delivery, and maintenance of world-class secure platforms, including Active Directory and Virtual Desktop components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction for the build, delivery, and maintenance of world-class secure platforms.
  • Be hands-on in all aspects of the design, build, and deployment of customer-facing systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop great working relationships and share knowledge.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture, empowering others through coaching and development using modern development methodologies.

Requirements
  • Experience integrating systems, networks, or software in on-premise environments.
  • Deep experience in deploying, supporting, and patching Windows servers, including AD, DNS, and ADCS.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of deploying and maintaining virtual desktop infrastructures, such as Citrix VDA.
  • Collaborative partner, developing great working relationships with stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and collaborating.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture, empowering others through coaching and development using modern development methodologies.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Experience deploying and managing Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Managed endpoint protection technologies, such as Trellix ePO.
  • Some exposure to Chocolatey and packaging for offline environments.
  • Comfortable coordinating and prioritizing activities according to internal and external requirements, responding positively to challenges, using technical expertise to support you and those around you.
