We are a leading dementia care provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through compassionate, specialized care. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Care to lead our dedicated team and ensure the highest standards of person-centered care for individuals living with dementia.

Role Overview

As the Director of Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of our dementia services. This is a brand new service and will provide over 100 service users the very best care. The role initially will be to help set it all up alongside the owners of the business, which will require extensive planning, meetings, and strategizing.

Once everything is set up, you will lead, inspire, and develop a team of carers and healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and personalized care to all residents. This role requires a balance of strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on care management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary care team to ensure excellence in care delivery.
  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure continuous improvement in care services.
  • Budget Management: Oversee financial planning and budget management to ensure the efficient use of resources.
  • Staff Development: Lead the recruitment, training, and professional development of staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Significant experience in managing care services, particularly in dementia care.
  • Education: NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent);
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and dementia care best practices.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with dementia and their families.
