Job Title: Automation and Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Remote-based working with onsite working in our head office

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at PayPoint Group. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in accelerating speed to deployment for new projects and infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Improvements: Enhance reliability, availability, and performance of Infrastructure services through automation.
  • Identify Opportunities: Deliver technical and process improvements driven by automation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with Projects: Ensure alignment with business needs and compliance standards for infrastructure delivery.
  • Proactive Automation: Drive automation of infrastructure tasks to reduce time overheads and improve standard practices.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Update documentation, policies, and procedures, ensuring adherence across the team.
  • Performance Metrics: Ensure performance metrics and monitoring are in place to meet business expectations.
Requirements
  • Production Infrastructure Support: Experience with automation and infrastructure support.
  • DevOps Experience: Experience in an agile environment with DevOps practices.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and analysis.
  • Automation Experience: Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, SQL, Terraform.
  • Software Testing: Experience of software testing.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server OS's, Linux, and Microsoft Azure Technologies.
  • Software Products: Experience with software products such as zScaler, CrowdStrike, SIEM, Zabbix, Service Now, Grafana, and Prometheus.
