Infrastructure Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at PayPoint plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and improvement of our IT infrastructure, driving automation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced Windows and Linux technologies
  • Manage incidents through to resolution, with a focus on automation and speed to deployment
  • Ensure infrastructure services meet regulatory requirements, including PCI DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Security Essentials
  • Provide operational support, including 2nd and 3rd line analysis of incidents and problems
  • Assist with projects and infrastructure delivery, ensuring consistency and quality of service

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on automation and cloud technologies
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server OS's, Linux, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience with PowerShell Scripting, Bash Scripting, or Python
  • Knowledge of security in relation to network, server, applications, data, and databases
