Job Title: Head of Banking and Expansion

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our banking and expansion efforts in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop our vision and build better products and experiences for our customers.
  • Work closely with compliance and government relations teams to manage relationships with regulators and other important non-commercial relationships.
  • Lead the LatAm Banking and Expansion team by providing tools and coaching for them to grow and operate independently.
  • Deepen our regulatory infrastructure in Brazil by identifying opportunities for growth, managing licence applications, and ensuring compliance with existing and new regulations.
  • Maintain and improve existing relationships with banks and other financial institutions, creating new opportunities to improve our product.
  • Build new relationships with relevant financial institutions, managing the end-to-end process from finding potential partners to negotiating commercial agreements and contracts.
Requirements:
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulatory relationships and the ability to create opportunities to improve them.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly within a fast-moving environment.
  • Business fluency in Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Passion for transforming the financial industry for good.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in government relations and public policies.
  • Understanding of financial regulation in the region and experience working directly with regulators.
  • Knowledge of local and international payments systems.
