Job Description

Regenerative Design Researcher

Loughborough University London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Becoming Regenerative project. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research tasks, focusing on longitudinal field research and data collection activities with regenerative designers, entrepreneurs, and their teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research tasks, including longitudinal field research and data collection activities
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop research methods and approaches
  • Contribute to the development of research outputs, including publications and presentations
  • Work with the project team to identify and pursue research opportunities
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and reports

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline or multi-disciplinary area
  • Strong methodological expertise
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently
  • Ability to work proactively with the project team and partners
  • Ability to present research work in academic and public contexts
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

About the Project:

The Becoming Regenerative project is a UKRI-funded project that seeks to investigate the emergence of new regenerative innovations and startups in the UK, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Japan. The project will be conducted with co-Investigators from the partner university and the Institute for Global Prosperity at University College London, as well as with support from multiple partners.

About the Team:

The project team will comprise the Principal Investigator, three Co-Investigators, two Postdoctoral Research Fellows, as well as a small number of creative freelancers. The project team will be supported by the University's Research Management & Administration (RMA) service and other Professional Services staff within a collegiate environment offered by Loughborough University London.
