About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our Shared Services Partnership team. As a Direct Payments Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering our Direct Payment service, ensuring that our service users receive timely and accurate financial payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete regular financial payments to service users
  • Monitor user accounts to identify potential financial abuse and take necessary action
  • Work in partnership with contacts across the department to enforce compliance and ensure effective risk management
  • Regularly review cases, maintain accurate records, and provide training to other staff members

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in financial administration, including electronic payments and financial controls
  • Strong knowledge of financial administration and excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in direct payments and ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
