Our client is a specialist subcontractor in the building envelope sector, focusing on new construction projects valued up to £4 million. They have established a strong reputation in the industry and are seeking a skilled Planner to enhance their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, updating, and reviewing work schedules throughout pre-contract and post-contract phases.
  • Generating progress reports and adjusting schedules and forecasts for team members utilizing planning software (such as Microsoft Project or Asta).
  • Segmenting large projects into manageable phases.
  • Employing project management tools to establish timelines.
  • Collaborating with Estimators to assess resource requirements for projects.
  • Formulating contingency plans to accommodate potential changes in timelines.
  • Engaging with contractors and suppliers to address and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Exhibiting knowledge of construction processes, particularly in roofing and façade works.
  • Coordinating between office and site personnel to ensure uniformity in schedules and sequences.
  • Creating procurement and design schedules aligned with established construction timelines.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of schedules for Extension of Time Requests, identifying delays, obstacles, and additional tasks.
  • Possessing a fundamental understanding of Extension of Time/Compensation Event requirements to accurately reflect them in schedules.
