About the Company
Our client is a distinguished sub-contractor focusing on building envelope projects within the new build market, handling contracts valued up to 4 million. They are known for their strong industry reputation and are seeking a Planner to enhance their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing, updating, and assessing work schedules during both pre-contract and post-contract phases.
- Generating progress reports and adjusting schedules and forecasts for team members utilizing planning software (Microsoft Project or Asta).
- Segmenting large projects into manageable phases.
- Employing project management tools to establish timelines.
- Collaborating with Estimators to determine project resource requirements.
- Creating contingency plans to accommodate potential changes in timelines.
- Engaging with contractors and suppliers to address and review scheduling matters.
- Exhibiting knowledge of construction processes, particularly in roofing and façade work.
- Facilitating communication between office and site personnel to ensure program consistency.
- Formulating procurement and design schedules aligned with approved construction timelines.
- Conducting thorough evaluations of schedules for Extension of Time Requests, identifying delays, interruptions, and additional tasks.
- Possessing a foundational understanding of Extension of Time/Compensation Events to accurately reflect these in schedules.
