Position Overview:
As a dedicated Social Worker for Children with Disabilities, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young individuals who face significant challenges due to disabilities. Your work will focus on fostering positive outcomes for these children and their families.
Salary: £37,336 to £45,442, based on experience.
Employment Type: Permanent, with options for full or part-time arrangements.
Relocation Support: We offer an excellent relocation package of up to £10,000.
About the Role:
We are looking for experienced social workers to join our Children with Disabilities Teams across the county. Your primary objective will be to ensure that children and young people receive the necessary support to thrive despite their disabilities.
Our services have been recognized for their quality, with a recent inspection highlighting our commitment to improvement and effective management. You will be part of a supportive environment that values innovative approaches and collaborative partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload effectively to build strong, lasting relationships with children and families.
- Utilize a variety of theoretical frameworks and tools to assist children through challenging situations.
- Engage in multi-agency collaboration to provide comprehensive support tailored to individual needs.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of services aimed at enhancing the lives of children with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Honours Degree or Diploma in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Completion of post-qualifying professional requirements.
- A minimum of one year’s experience working directly with children and families.
- Familiarity with relevant theoretical models and best practices.
