About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Manager to join our team at HC-One - Hepworth House. As a Home Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall management and operation of the care home, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the care home, including staff management, occupancy, marketing, and recruitment.
  • Ensuring that our residents receive a high standard of personal care, meeting their individual needs and promoting a caring environment that values their dignity and respect.
  • Managing the front of house, catering, and housekeeping teams to ensure that the care home is maintained to a high standard.
  • Completing staff supervisions and appraisals to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety and fire safety requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of the principles of sales and marketing.
  • Skilled in the recruitment, selection, and retention of staff.
  • Committed to a structured approach to training and development of staff.
  • Understanding of the Care Standards Act and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A professional, confident, and warm personality.
  • A caring disposition.
  • Leadership qualities, enthusiasm, along with influencing and motivational skills.
  • Willing and able to provide an out-of-hours on-call service.
  • Able to provide cover for absent Managers at other care homes.
