Job Title: Senior Communications Integration Engineer

As a Senior Communications Integration Engineer at QinetiQ, you will have a unique opportunity to provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership in the delivery of secure end-to-end radio solutions in a multi-bearer, mobile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams or work collaboratively to ensure solutions are integrated and technically leading projects are accountable for their technical success.
  • Independently create and run test plans and schedules, and contribute towards strategy decisions.
  • Take existing design documents and read across to system requirements to validate the design and produce appropriate test documentation.
  • Deliver demonstrations and presentations on technical subjects to senior stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues using in-depth knowledge of communications principles.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to a degree level in a relevant subject or extensive experience in the communications industry.
  • Experience providing technical leadership with demonstrable experience speaking to stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of military communication systems and utilizing the full frequency spectrum.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial telecommunications technology such as microwave, Wi-Fi, 4G, and LTE.
  • Proven experience conveying complex information to non-specialist audiences.
