Job Title: Senior Bridge/Structures Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: West Yorkshire

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridge/Structures Engineer to join our team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our West Yorkshire team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting structural assessments using Eurocodes and British Standards
  • Managing project schedules and ensuring quality deliverables, including inspections and reports
  • Reviewing schemes and preparing conceptual design options
  • Supervising design teams and mentoring junior structural engineers
  • Collaborating with clients and partners to develop buildable and maintainable solutions
  • Preparing technical reports, including feasibility/options reports, assessment reports, and other technical reports
  • Applying best practice and innovative approaches in all projects
  • Conducting site surveys and inspections

Requirements:

  • UK experience within a public, private, or third sector UK-based client
  • Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in structural design using British Standards
  • Familiarity with current design practices and local/national guidance
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software packages
  • A Full UK driving license
