Role Overview: Experienced Structures Technician (Corporate Aircraft Experience Required)

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain customer aircraft

• Fabricate and modify structural components of aircraft

• Execute minor structural repairs on composite materials, whether attached or detached

• Assist in hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures

• Support complex structural repairs, both on and off the aircraft

• Aid in the repair of aircraft components

• Remove and install aircraft components as necessary

• Adhere to environmental health and safety policies and procedures

• Participate in 5-S activities

• Conduct work safely and efficiently

• Document work performed according to relevant manuals and regulations

• Operate ground support equipment as required

• Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations as needed

• Provide maintenance support at off-site locations as required

• Assist with aircraft towing as necessary

• Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines as needed

• Follow Bombardier's General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and hangar positions

Key Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Completion of training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or equivalent education
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair and modification
  • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms regarding individual and aircraft status
  • Possession of a basic set of hand tools and capability to manage tool inventory
  • Ability to obtain necessary Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications
  • Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays
  • Capability to work outdoors in seasonal or inclement weather
  • Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if required
  • Possession of an A Certification, A&P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate is preferred
  • Basic PC skills
