Key Responsibilities

Facilitating the Hospice in achieving its strategic goals by establishing and meeting income generation targets, while leading a team that comprehends this essential focus and successfully meets objectives.

Building and leveraging networks, as well as nurturing long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, will be integral to this role, alongside identifying new business opportunities.

Our team comprises medical, nursing, and care professionals, alongside those involved in our income generation services that support our fundraising initiatives.

Job Duties

Role Summary

To assist the Hospice in fulfilling its strategic objectives by ensuring that income generation targets are developed and achieved, while leading a team that is aligned with this critical focus.

The role holder will bring a creative and dynamic approach to developing a variety of income generation initiatives that extend beyond traditional fundraising activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Integrate income generation strategies within the charity's framework and provide regular progress reports to the Executive Team and Board of Trustees.
  • Adopt a commercial perspective to enhance income through the establishment of new and sustainable fundraising avenues via innovation.
  • Enhance the organizational brand and optimize the website with a specific focus on income generation.
  • Develop a robust external profile for the role and the organization.
  • Support community engagement initiatives aimed at generating income and elevating the organization's profile.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and vision to the fundraising team, driving forward income generation opportunities across various channels.
  • Ensure the retail team operates efficiently and maximizes income across the area, representing the organization positively at all times.
  • Encourage collaboration between the fundraising and retail teams with PR and Marketing, engaging in networking opportunities.
Management Responsibilities
  • Promote teamwork within the Hospice.
  • Chair regular team meetings to ensure clear communication and consultation with colleagues.
  • Oversee all line management responsibilities, including training, coaching, and performance management.
Policies and Procedures

Understand and adhere to the policies and practices of Halton Haven Hospice.

Participate in policy development and review as per the scheduled work plan.

Attend mandatory training sessions as required by Halton Haven Hospice.

Education and Training
  • Engage in any necessary training to fulfill the role effectively and attend all required training sessions.
  • Actively contribute to personal and team development.
  • Foster a learning-conducive environment.
  • Maintain personal and professional development.
Communication and Relationships

Report all incidents, health and safety concerns, and equipment needs in accordance with Hospice policy.

  • Act responsibly to uphold the Hospice's reputation.
  • Contribute to the efficient functioning of the Hospice.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining safety standards.
  • Participate in training and demonstrate awareness of safety procedures.
  • Utilize Hospice resources effectively.
