The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a background in the manufacturing sector or a closely related field. This role involves enhancing management information systems, overseeing management accounts, and leading a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to comprehend their reporting needs and assist in establishing the management information framework.
  • Analyze the current standard costing and management reporting framework to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to understand process control and define what constitutes effective performance.
  • Implement weekly and monthly efficiency variance reporting along with price variance analysis.
  • Manage working capital by developing review processes and calculating key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Examine sales contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements.
  • Handle monthly accruals and prepayments, including inventory management.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, including the generation of intercompany invoices and reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT returns and intrastat submissions.
  • Engage in various ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills.
