Room Leader Opportunity at Banana Moon Day Nurseries

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Years Practitioner Room Leader to join our team at Banana Moon Day Nurseries. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the room.

At Banana Moon, we believe in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop through play. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for children aged 2-5 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
  • Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes
  • Liaise with parents and other staff members to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Support the professional development of your team members, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a Room Leader or similar role
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
