The RoleThe Inclusion Lead will play a key role in our small school community, working closely with the Head Teacher to develop and maintain high-quality SEND provision. This will involve leading on EHCP annual review meetings, submitting statutory documentation to the local authority, and supporting the development and updating of documentation, including risk management and safety planning for pupils.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and experienced professional with a commitment to inclusive practice and a strong understanding of SEMH needs. They will be able to work collaboratively with the school community to develop and implement strategies to promote the highest standards of pupil social, emotional, mental well-being, and achievement.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Teacher in ensuring inclusive practice is developed to promote the highest standards of pupil social, emotional, mental well-being, and achievement
- Assist the Head Teacher in the day-to-day operation of specific school policies and processes
- Develop and maintain high-quality SEND provision, including leading on EHCP annual review meetings and submitting statutory documentation to the local authority
- Support the development and updating of documentation, including risk management and safety planning for pupils
- Act as Deputy DSL, assisting the Head Teacher with safeguarding and any intervention/administrative duties
- Support the Head Teacher in development, improvement, and strategic work across the school
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on skills and experience), as well as a wide range of employee benefits, including Income Protection, Life Assurance, Health Cash Plan, and EAP. The role is a fixed-term contract until July 2025, with the possibility of extension.
