Our School

The Corner School is a Special Independent School for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our vision is to improve the life chances of all children at The Corner School by providing an appropriate and relevant education, improving their mental and physical health, and helping them build positive relationships with peers and adults.

Role Overview

The Inclusion Lead will play a key role in our small school community, assisting the Head Teacher in ensuring inclusive practice and promoting the highest standards of pupil social, emotional, mental well-being, and achievement. The role involves developing and maintaining high-quality SEND provision, supporting individual pupils with SEND, and leading on EHCP annual review meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Head Teacher in ensuring inclusive practice and promoting the highest standards of pupil social, emotional, mental well-being, and achievement.
  2. Develop and maintain high-quality SEND provision, supporting individual pupils with SEND.
  3. Lead on EHCP annual review meetings and submit statutory documentation to the local authority.
  4. Support development and updating of documentation, including risk management and safety planning for pupils.
  5. Assist the Head Teacher with safeguarding and any intervention/administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, be resilient in working with children with SEMH needs, and be passionate about helping our children achieve their full potential.
