We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Central Merchandising to join our dynamic Home & Clothing team at Tesco. This is a key role that will play a crucial part in driving the success of our business.

As Head of Central Merchandising, you will be responsible for leading a team of merchandising professionals to achieve key financial metrics such as Sales, Margin, and Stock. You will work closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Finance teams to ensure the achievement of these metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and margin growth.
  • Lead a team of merchandising professionals to achieve key financial metrics.
  • Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, and Finance teams to ensure the achievement of key financial metrics.
  • Monitor and manage monthly forecasts to achieve budgeted financial metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Central Merchandise processes and implement changes to achieve key performance targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior partners within Home and Clothing.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Strong merchandising planning skills with experience of delivering merchandising control.
  • Experience of working cross-functionally and influencing senior collaborators.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of leading a team and developing talent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
