Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Hand in Hand International in their search for a Programme Development Manager, as the organization looks to increase its impact and support thousands of women in their journey out of poverty.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in London (Hybrid). The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and approaching new institutional donors, converting them from prospects to secured funds.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the effective delivery of a portfolio of institutional and corporate grants, ensuring projects are achieving key milestones and that day-to-day activities are on track.
- Provide high-quality project information to both internal and external stakeholders, extracting and quality-assuring project data relevant for reporting, and ensuring all projects are compliant with donor requirements.
- Proactively manage relationships with existing donors, developing engagement strategies, sharing key information, and laying groundwork for follow-on funding.
- Lead proposals for new and existing donors, coordinating inputs from Hand in Hand International and network colleagues, drafting technical inputs, and engaging with funders where required.
- An innovative approach and a strong track record in fundraising from large institutional donors; trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, and governments.
- Experience working in development projects in Eastern Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe. Experience in Afghanistan would be a plus.
- A demonstrable track record securing large, multi-year grants from different types of funders, with a focus on thematic areas: women's economic empowerment, value chains, livelihoods, or enterprise acceleration.
