We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Scientist to join our Biochemical Genetics Laboratory team at North Thames Genomics Laboratory Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing scientific services and clinical advisory services in the areas of Newborn Bloodspot and Foetal Anomaly Screening.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain specialised knowledge in Newborn Bloodspot and Foetal Anomaly Screening.
- Provide scientific services and clinical advisory services within these areas.
- Take responsibility for provision of scientific services and clinical advisory services under consultant/principal supervision.
- Contribute to service development in the above area.
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist (or close to obtaining registration).
- Master's Degree in Biochemistry or Clinical Biochemistry.
- Previous working experience in Newborn Bloodspot or Foetal Anomaly Screening or Biochemical Genetics laboratory.
- Experience of using the following techniques/analysers: LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, AutoDELFIA, HPLC.
The successful candidate will be based at our state-of-the-art laboratory facility, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality scientific services and clinical advisory services. The laboratory is equipped with the latest technology and equipment, and the successful candidate will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
