We are seeking an exceptional Unit Manager to join our leadership team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be an experienced critical care nurse with operational management and bed management skills, able to make informed decisions and navigate complex problems.

As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing and leading the team, ensuring they are supported, developed, and nurtured to achieve excellence in patient care.

You will have a passion for driving change and be confident in leading quality improvement initiatives across the unit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the NHS and its values, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Managing budgets and resources to optimize unit performance
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and development
