Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Service Engineer who excels in troubleshooting and providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential in delivering maintenance, service, and commissioning tasks to guarantee our clients receive unparalleled support.

This position demands a versatile skill set, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic expertise, often requiring independent work at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Inspections:
Perform routine maintenance inspections at client sites to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.

Fault Diagnosis & Repair:
Detect and rectify faults on all provided equipment, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational performance.

Customer Relationship Management:
Foster strong, positive relationships with clients, acting as a dependable and professional point of contact.

Reporting:
Generate and submit precise service reports, timesheets, and other necessary documentation using internal systems.

Quality Assurance:
Comply with quality management systems and procedures to ensure all work adheres to the company's high standards.

Safety Compliance:

Maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others, in accordance with health and safety regulations.


Skills & Experience:

Maintenance Expertise:
Proven experience in conducting both annual and intermediate maintenance inspections.

Engine Proficiency:
Proficient in engine removal, installation, calibration, and performance testing.

Repair & Rebuild:
Skilled in disassembling, repairing, and rebuilding engines to specified standards.

Technical Diagnosis:
Basic skills in diagnosing and repairing faults across various equipment.

Vibration Analysis:
Capable of performing vibration surveys on engines, gearboxes, and generators.

Documentation:
Strong attention to detail in completing service reports, timesheets, and expense claims accurately and punctually.

Task Planning:
Ability to effectively plan and prepare for assigned tasks, ensuring efficient execution.

Commissioning Support:
Experience in assisting with the commissioning of machinery is advantageous.

Knowledge Requirements:

Gas Turbine Principles:
Basic understanding of gas turbine operations.

CHP Installations:
Familiarity with the principles and benefits of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) installations.

Control Systems:
Knowledge of unit and engine control systems, generator control, and protection methods.

Emissions Control:
Understanding of emissions control systems and methodologies.

Safety & Quality Standards:

Knowledge of health & safety, quality, and environmental policies, with the capability to conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements.
