Job Summary:

We are looking for a proficient Service Engineer who is dedicated to resolving technical challenges and providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential in delivering maintenance, service, and commissioning activities to ensure our clients receive unparalleled support.

This position requires a diverse skill set, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, and often necessitates independent work at client locations.


Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Inspections:
Perform routine maintenance inspections at client sites to guarantee optimal equipment performance.

Fault Diagnosis & Repair:
Detect and rectify faults on all provided equipment, reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.

Customer Relationship Management:
Foster strong, positive relationships with clients, acting as a dependable and professional point of contact.

Reporting:
Generate and submit precise service reports, timesheets, and other necessary documentation using internal systems.

Quality Assurance:
Comply with quality management systems and procedures to ensure all work adheres to the company's high standards.

Safety Compliance:

Maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others, in line with health and safety policies.


Required Skills & Experience:

Maintenance Expertise:
Proven experience in conducting both annual and intermediate maintenance inspections.

Engine Proficiency:
Skilled in engine removal, installation, calibration, and performance testing.

Repair & Rebuild:
Ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble engines to specified standards.

Technical Diagnosis:
Basic skills in diagnosing and repairing faults across various equipment.

Vibration Analysis:
Capability to perform vibration surveys on engines, gearboxes, and generators.

Documentation:
Strong attention to detail in completing service reports, timesheets, and expense claims accurately and promptly.

Task Planning:
Proficient in planning and preparing for assigned tasks to ensure efficient execution.

Commissioning Support:
Experience in assisting with the commissioning of machinery is advantageous.

Knowledge Requirements:

Gas Turbine Principles:
Fundamental understanding of gas turbine operations.

CHP Installations:
Familiarity with the principles and benefits of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) installations.

Control Systems:
Knowledge of unit and engine control systems, generator control, and protection methods.

Emissions Control:
Understanding of emissions control systems and methodologies.

Safety & Quality Standards:

Knowledge of health & safety, quality, and environmental policies, with the ability to conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements.
