About the Role:

The Fire Service College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a College Liaison Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading organization in the fire prevention and protection sector, providing assessed, accredited, and assured fire and multi-service training for emergency service professionals globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support instructional staff to provide exceptional customer service to our training delegates, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Act as the link between The Fire Service College and clients and international delegates when they are using the site.
  • Provide support to the department and assist in any daily tasks required to support the management and organization of the FSC.
  • Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy for the FSC and ensure that venue hire contractors comply.
  • Ensure safe practices and risk assessments are being followed within the grounds of the FSC.
  • Deal with accidents and near misses correctly and record them within the safety management system.
  • Ensure that other employees or persons using the FSC premises are not at risk from the venue hire contractor's works.
  • Carry out building safety inspections and ensure that equipment and vehicles are used correctly whilst on FSC grounds.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including day, evening, night, or weekends, depending on the need.
  • Good level of general IT literacy.
  • Experience or knowledge of undertaking or monitoring of health and safety activities and practices to ensure compliance within a fire and rescue sector would be beneficial.
  • Provision of consistently high standards of customer service.
  • Experience of working in a constantly evolving workplace environment.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Experience of working in a training environment or worked in the Fire Service – beneficial.
  • Experience of conducting/writing risk assessments – beneficial.
