The Opportunity: Senior Underwriter - Property & Casualty

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing risk and maximizing business growth and profitability for our allocated broker panel.

Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and evaluate risks within your assigned portfolio, ensuring sound decision-making aligned with company guidelines.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions effectively to secure profitable business arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Participate actively in regional and product underwriting meetings, contributing your expertise to strategic discussions.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in underwriting, particularly within Property & Casualty insurance lines.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local insurance market and technical underwriting principles.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Exceptional relationship management abilities, fostering trust and open communication with stakeholders.
