About the Role

Salus Insurance Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Underwriter to join our team. As a Senior Technical Underwriter, you will play a critical role in providing technical underwriting support to our Underwriting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical underwriting guidance to the business in respect of Binding Authorities with carriers.
  • Take ownership of large and complex risk underwriting.
  • Participate in and undertake any tasks or projects that may be requested from time to time.
  • Act within agreed underwriting authorities.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter.
  • Experience working in an MGU/MGA and/or managing delegated authority binding authorities.
  • Advanced understanding of insurance principles.
  • Understanding and appreciation of FCA guidance relating to TCF and Conduct Risk.

Work Arrangements

This is a hybrid role with three days a week working in the office and two days a week working from home.
