Job Description: Mental Health Liaison Nurse - Band 6
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective interpersonal communication and demonstrate empathy in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of mental health conditions to assess needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Utilize your knowledge of psychosocial assessment to understand the complex factors influencing an individual's mental well-being.
- Work therapeutically with individuals who have experienced self-harm, providing support and guidance during their recovery process.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
Essential Qualifications:
- Possess a degree in a relevant health or social care profession.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic approaches for drug and alcohol issues.
- Have previous experience working as a mental health liaison nurse in a hospital setting.
- Hold teaching and assessing qualifications.
- Possess experience addressing social factors such as homelessness and financial difficulties that may impact mental health.
- Have experience working with the Police, probation services, or safeguarding agencies.
