Families First Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Families First Coordinator to join our team at Hertfordshire County Council. As a key member of our Supporting Families Practice Team, you will play a vital role in delivering training, support, advice, and guidance to professionals working with families across Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities- Provide early help support to professionals, including 1:1 coaching and training on the Early Help Module System (EHM).
- Identify and signpost to other early help services available, and be knowledgeable about referral pathways and processes.
- Work closely with the Senior Families First Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of early help support to partners.
- Meet with families to help identify their needs and assist their Key Worker to undertake a Families First Assessment (FFA).
- Deliver group and 1:1 training to professionals, both virtually and in person.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of Families First Assessments and Early Help support in Hertfordshire.
- Experience of multi-agency working to deliver early help, with the confidence to communicate across various levels.
- Experience of interacting and working with families, children, and young people, and finding out what really matters to them.
- Outcome-focused with excellent attention to detail, using experience in report writing to help identify needs and strengths.
- Experience in effective stakeholder engagement across a variety of services and agencies.
- Experience of managing professional conflict and difficult conversations, using negotiation skills for effective partnership working.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, understanding the importance of the roles others play in achieving a desired outcome.
- Excellent digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft.
- Previous experience of delivering training would be beneficial, but is not required.
- Familiarity with taking minutes and chairing meetings would be an advantage.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as you will be expected to transport yourself between appointments and meetings.
