About the Role

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management and organization of our kitchen. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. You will be expected to maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic working environment, adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in the planning and preparation of menus, ensuring that all dishes meet the required standards of quality and presentation.
• Supervise the kitchen operation, ensuring that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities and are working efficiently to meet the demands of the service.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, inventory, and waste management, ensuring that all costs are minimized and that the kitchen is operating within budget.
• Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to ensure that all aspects of the kitchen operation are running smoothly and that customer service standards are consistently met.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior kitchen role, with a strong background in culinary operations and management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of kitchen staff.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic working environment.
