Commercial Director Opportunity

SOCOTEC UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to join our Building and Real Estate Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans that align with the company's objectives in the Building Control division.
  • Set financial goals and performance targets for the Building Control department, ensuring profitability and growth.
  • Lead commercial efforts to secure new contracts and clients, expanding the Building Control business.
  • Support SOCOTEC multi-disciplinary opportunities, liaising with other business development partners within the business.
Financial Management:
  • Manage the commercial operations of the Building Control department, including supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and business targets for each region in support of the Directors responsible.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, contractors, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Organise and develop training platforms for clients around regulatory and procedural changes and help to deliver these to our clients and staff.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in Building Control operations, both commercial and regulatory.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
