Position Overview:

Central Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Senior Recovery Coordinator. This position focuses on providing essential support to adults recovering from substance misuse, facilitating their access to appropriate treatment services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 20 clients, conducting regular sessions to develop and implement SMART support plans.
  • Conduct assessment interviews and triage for new service referrals.
  • Organize and lead group activities tailored to client needs or as part of broader program initiatives.
  • Handle referrals and provide brief interventions to assist clients in navigating their recovery journey.
  • Offer guidance on benefits, housing, legal issues, and health and wellness.
  • Assist clients in pursuing educational and employment opportunities, including accredited courses and training programs.
  • Encourage clients to adopt health-promoting strategies for improved lifestyles.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other organizations to address client needs.
  • Foster the development of social skills and peer mentoring to enhance self-esteem and independence.
  • Support team members in understanding substance misuse issues.
  • Participate in client 'drop-in' sessions across various settings to provide information and guidance.
  • Facilitate access to community services, including mental health and wellness programs.
  • Assess and refer clients for vaccination and immunization services.
  • Provide comprehensive information on treatment options, residential rehabilitation, and prescribing practices.
  • Assist the team in delivering interventions, including harm reduction and trauma-informed engagement strategies.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Experience working with clients with complex needs, particularly in mental health and substance misuse.
  • Experience with clients in recovery or those actively using substances.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and develop support plans.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding issues and the capability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
  • Experience in substance misuse treatment settings.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction strategies and health promotion interventions.
  • Ability to assess and create recovery plans for service users, along with strong report-writing skills.
  • Familiarity with the Recovery Model and the ability to motivate individuals towards independence.
  • Capacity to collaborate with external stakeholders, particularly in community mental health and substance use services.
Additional Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following criteria to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work:

  • Valid right to work in the UK.
  • A minimum of 12 months of paid experience in a frontline social care role within the last three years.
  • A fully enhanced DBS check, either registered on the update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one.
  • Employment or educational history covering the last five years, verifiable through references.
