Job Description:

Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team of professionals working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN, helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their unique needs
  • Assist teachers in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and communication skills
  • Evaluate students' abilities and progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support their growth
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students in developing self-advocacy skills, promoting independence and autonomy

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN or SEMH needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of those in their care
  • Current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete a DBS check
