Buyer - Maternity Cover Position

Location: Hybrid Work Environment

Salary: £35,000

Are you driven by the challenge of sourcing high-quality products and negotiating with suppliers on a global scale?

We are pleased to present a unique opportunity for a skilled buying professional to join the well-established procurement team at SC4 Recruitment Limited, filling a maternity leave vacancy.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for curating a competitive range of product offerings. Your expertise in product sourcing will be essential as you engage with suppliers from various regions, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining exceptional quality standards. Furthermore, you will play a key role in keeping our client ahead of the competition through comprehensive market insights. Collaboration with the Merchandise Team will be crucial as you identify suppliers for growth, maintenance, or exit strategies.

This position requires you to be in the office three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for two days.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of working with suppliers across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to ensure adherence to critical timelines and effective communication of information.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships.
