About the Role
Ambitious about Autism is seeking a highly skilled Head of Governance and Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring best practice governance and compliance is embedded in our organisation and the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality monitoring and reporting policies and systems to promote excellent governance and maintain compliance with all external regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues in the Executive Teams and wider Senior Management Team to ensure the Board is meeting its responsibilities and receiving high-quality information and support from the staff team.
- Contribute to the development of the organisation's overall strategy and operational plan.
- Ensure the organisation's governance and compliance framework is up-to-date and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in managing the governance of an organisation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of either or both of Charity Commission, Care Quality Commission and Department for Education regulatory environments.
- Proven knowledge and experience in governance and compliance, working at a senior level with Trustees and senior leaders.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory reporting procedures and record keeping.
