Fox Resourcing & Recruitment Ltd is seeking to fill several exciting positions within a reputable local organization that specializes in flexible van racking solutions tailored for today's light commercial vehicle market. This company is known for designing custom van storage systems, including shelving and drawers.
Position Summary:
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Electrical Vehicle Fitters. This role involves the installation of basic electrical components and assisting auto electricians with comprehensive installations.
Location: Corby
Working Schedule:
- 4-day work week
- 39 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM - 4:45 PM
- Overtime available on Fridays at 1.3x pay rate
Compensation:
£12.75 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit electrical components in commercial vehicles, such as those used by BT, SKY, and RAC.
- Conduct function checks post-installation to ensure compliance with company quality standards and ISO regulations.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including checklists and inspection/test sheets.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing duties.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical build issues as they arise.
- Test new products, processes, and procedures for feasibility.
- Participate in training to follow established work practices and methods.
- Record working hours on specific jobs using the MES system.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the company.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical operations and processes within the automotive sector.
- Experience or qualifications in electrical fitting/assembly tasks on commercial vehicles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and apply problem-solving techniques effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
