Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Chaperone Operative to join our Technical Services team based in Reading.

Position Summary: As a Chaperone Operative, you will be primarily tasked with carrying out chaperone duties and assisting with various cleaning and handyperson services, when required.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence, be trained in manual handling techniques, be aware of general health and safety legislation, and be capable of unsupervised works.

Main duties to be carried out will include but not be limited to:

  • Safely escort contractors and visitors around client sites
  • Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as temperature checks, flushing little used outlets, and various visual inspections
  • Assist site engineers in carrying out their day-to-day duties
  • Assist with general cleaning duties and waste removal
  • Provide a basic caretaking service – e.g. 'home handyman' skills.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic handyman skills
  • Please note that you will be required to undergo security clearance and successfully pass these checks.
  • This role is subject to passing government clearances
