Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving, multi-award-winning specialist independent school in Mid-Sussex. The successful candidate will support students with autism in their educational journey, helping them develop independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs in collaboration with teachers and therapists.
  • Support students in their learning activities, encouraging participation and engagement.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters positive relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people with autism is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to our values of clarity, openness, and consistency in communication.
