About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEMH school in Haywards Heath. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, Autism Spectrum Condition, and learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in the classroom and during one-on-one sessions to help them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the needs of students with SEMH and ASC.
  • Promote students' emotional and social growth, helping them develop confidence and resilience.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure students receive consistent support.
  • Contribute to school life by helping in classrooms, joining extracurricular activities, and participating in school events.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEMH or ASC, is a plus, but not essential. What matters most is your passion for education and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive outlook.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing situations.
